Welcome to the web site of Bob Clarke archaeologist, lecturer and Cold War historian. Please look around the site and discover what I have been busy with. My interest areas are varied, covering such diverse subjects as aircraft engineering through to Anglo-Saxon burial practices. I have written a number of papers and articles for journals and magazines as well as the first of a number of books on aspects of the Cold War.

I lecture archaeology for the University of Bath in Swindon and hold one of two posts at Boscombe Down with QinetiQ Archaeology. This has allowed me to follow my two great passions, aeroplanes and the Cold War. I have also been involved in small amounts of work for the media, something I would like to expand.
